01
About pigmentation
Why pigment
behaves this way.
Melasma, recurrence and the difference between common forms of pigmentation.
What is melasma?
Patches of darker pigment, usually on the cheeks, forehead or upper lip, driven by UV exposure, hormones and inflammation. It affects an estimated 1.5–33% of people and is most prevalent in Asian skin. It’s chronic, which is why it tends to return.
Why does my pigmentation keep coming back?
Most approaches act on pigment that has already surfaced. They lighten what’s visible without slowing what the melanocyte does next. Once the trigger returns — sun, hormones, inflammation — production picks up again.
Is melasma different from age spots or post-acne marks?
They present differently but share one cause: melanin over-produced and unevenly deposited in the skin. Melasma is the most persistent of the group and the most likely to recur.
Can pigmentation be permanently removed?
Not reliably, and any product promising that is overstating. Pigmentation is managed rather than cured — corrected, then maintained. That’s why we built the range as a course followed by ongoing use.
02
Using Cleradol
A simple routine,
used consistently.
How long before I see a change?
Most people are looking at a course of several weeks rather than days. Deep pigment tends to respond first. Surface pigment accumulated over years is slower. Consistency matters more than quantity — twice daily, without gaps.
Which product should I start with?
Advance Corrective Serum, if you have active pigmentation. Daily Defense Serum is the maintenance step once correction is achieved, or a starting point if your concern is marks left by breakouts. Radiance Moisturizing Cream pairs with either.
How do I use it?
Two to three drops on cleansed, toned skin, morning and evening — affected area or full face. Follow with moisturiser. SPF30+ every morning without exception.
Do I still need sunscreen?
Yes, and it isn’t optional. UV is one of the main triggers for melanin overproduction. Without daily SPF30+, you’re working against the product every time you go outside.
Can I use it on my whole face, or only on the spots?
Either works. Full-face application suits uneven tone and dullness. Spot application is fine if your concern is limited to a defined patch.
Will it lighten my overall skin tone?
No. Cleradol works on melanin that has been over-produced, evening tone rather than reducing your natural colour.
Can I use it with my other skincare?
Generally yes. It’s water-based and fragrance-free, and layers under moisturiser and sunscreen. If you’re using strong exfoliating acids or prescription actives, introduce Cleradol gradually and space the applications.
03
Safety
Tested before
we say it.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
It’s independently certified non-irritant — an SGS MTT tissue viability result of 112.18%, far above the 50% threshold, classified non-irritant under UN GHS. A full OECD safety panel returned no adverse classification.
Do I need to patch test?
The non-irritant classification means a patch-test protocol isn’t required. If your skin is reactive or you simply prefer to, test on the inner forearm for 24 hours first.
Does it contain hydroquinone, retinoids or corticosteroids?
None of the three. We left them out deliberately — they carry risks of thinning, irritation and rebound, and none of that belongs in a product meant for daily use over months.
Can I use it after laser, IPL or a chemical peel?
Yes. It’s water-based, fragrance-free and free of restricted actives, and we designed it to sit alongside in-clinic treatments rather than compete with them. Follow your clinic’s post-procedure timing.
Can I use it during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?
Pigmentation often changes during pregnancy, and skincare decisions in that period are best made with your doctor. Bring the ingredient list to them and follow their advice.
What’s the shelf life?
Check the packaging for the period-after-opening symbol. Store away from direct sunlight and heat, and close the bottle after each use.
